All children are involved in PE and are encouraged to work at their own level of ability. We aim to develop enjoyment of physical activity through physical education. We encourage the development of physical skills and exercise of the body whilst also helping the children with body control and awareness of their body movements.

A variety of physical activities, which involve both boys and girls, are provided throughout the school to give the children a balance of experiences. In Keystage 1 these activities include games, gymnastics and dance, and in Keystage 2 they include games, gymnastics, dance, athletics and swimming (in year 3).

School teams are chosen for netball, football, cross-country, athletics and cricket. Practices and matches take place out of school time, and good sportsmanship, team spirit and co-operation are encouraged. The teams are entered for the Mid Sussex primary schools netball, football, cross-country and athletics tournaments and for the County Cricket tournaments.

During the Summer Term Keystage 2 have an athletics club where they learn to further develop and refine basic techniques in running, throwing and jumping.
