The school aims to enable pupils to use and understand English effectively, both for learning and for their personal and social development.
The school follows the National Literacy Project strategy through a daily literacy hour.This is a structured progression devoted to the teaching of reading and writing. We aim to develop the children's independance, enthusiasm, creativity and skills in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. We highly value our partnership with parents, particularly through the Home/School Reading scheme.
