The school's aim is to give the children the confidence and competence to identify, examine and solve practical problems. This will involve them in designing and producing a range of artefacts, systems and environments at a level appropriate to their development. The children will experience a wide variety of approaches, materials and methods. As they develop they will be encouraged to make judgements about the quality of their own work and others. This evaluation process will help lead to higher levels of achievement and a greater sense of enjoyment and pride in their ability to design and construct.
